L&T bags Rs. 3,115 crore order for construction of Ganga bridge in Bihar.
Larsen & Toubro, in a joint venture with Daewoo E&C of South Korea, has bagged an order worth Rs. 3,115 crore from Bihar State Road Development Corporation for construction of a six-lane cable bridge over river Ganga near Kachchi Dargah in Patna district on NH-30, the engineering major said recently.
L&T's Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business will execute the project. The engineering, procurement and construction order entails construction of a 22 km road alignment including a 9.76 km long extra-dosed bridge spanning across the river Ganga. The project is scheduled to be completed in four years.
'This is a significant win in the heavy civil infrastructure space and we hope that this is a sign for many such projects involving vital infrastructure that are in the offing to materialize,' said S.N. Subrahmanyan, deputy managing director and president, L&T.
