Lokesh Meets Pichai to Review Progress of Vizag Data Centre Project.

Andhra Pradesh IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh met with Alphabet Inc and Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, in San Francisco on December 10 to review the progress of the companies’ investment initiatives in the state.

Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), Lokesh said, “We reviewed progress of their landmark $15 billion investment in the Visakhapatnam AI Data Center, which is set to be one of the largest FDI projects. We reviewed progress and discussed accelerating timelines.”

He also invited Google to explore setting up a drone assembly, calibration, and testing facility in Andhra Pradesh’s upcoming Drone City, and encouraged the company to deepen the server manufacturing ecosystem in the state.
