Larsen & Toubro Secures Major Infrastructure Development Order in Maharashtra

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the engineering and construction giant, announced on Wednesday that it has secured a "large" order for integrated infrastructure development in Maharashtra.

The contract, awarded to L&T's Transportation Infrastructure vertical, falls within the company’s "large" order category, which is typically valued between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore, according to a stock exchange filing.

The project, part of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) initiative, has been awarded by the City and Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDCO). It involves the development of infrastructure in Town Planning Schemes 2 to 7, including the construction of roads, major and minor structures, utility works, and associated electrical installations.

L&T, a $27-billion enterprise, is a key player in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, along with hi-tech manufacturing and services.
