KTR to open Wonderla amusement park.

Wonderla Hyderabad Amusement Park offering 18 water-based and 25 other attractions is open for public with a special entry price of Rs. 650 till April 20.

Located on Outer Ring Road Exit No.13, 10 minutes away from the Hyderabad international airport, the park set up with an investment of Rs. 250 crore is spread over 50 acres and the official inauguration is slated to be done by IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao twelve days from now.

Among the attractions are India’s first reverse looping roller coaster named ‘RECOIL’, with maximum height of 40 metres and with six inversions per ride, imported from the Netherlands. It is also going to be among the first in the country with cashless RFID-based transactions facility called ‘EZ Pay’ across the park, a press release said.

The amusement park will also be generating over 1MW of solar power. Wonderla Holidays is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) & National Stock Exchange (NSE), and is promoted by Arun K. Chittilappilly and Kochouseph Chittilappilly.

It owns and operates two amusement parks in Kochi and Bengaluru plus a resort in Bengaluru.
