"KINFRA has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana-based firm Goldsikka to establish a 'Global Gold City' in Mattannur."

The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Telangana-based Goldsikka Pvt Ltd to establish a Global Gold City (GGC) at Mattannur in Kannur district.

The proposed project will come up on a 1,000-acre site and is envisioned as a smart industrial city integrating the entire gold value chain, ranging from refining to physical trading, within a single high-technology zone compliant with environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.

The MoU was signed by KINFRA Managing Director Santhosh Koshy Thomas and Goldsikka Pvt Ltd Managing Director S Taruj in the presence of Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeeve.
