JSW Steel Partners with Japanese Firm for Manufacturing Joint Venture

JSW Steel Limited has announced a strategic joint venture with JFE Steel Corporation, Japan, aimed at producing grain-oriented electrical steel within India. The newly established entity, JSW Electrical Steel Private Limited, which will later be rebranded as JSW JFE Electrical Steel Private Limited, is set to establish its manufacturing hub in Bellary, Karnataka, with a planned investment of ₹5,500 crore.

With an anticipated commencement of production in the fiscal year 2027, the facility is poised for capacity expansion to cater to the rising demand for grain-oriented electrical steel in India.

JSW Steel emphasized that this venture marks a significant milestone as the first entity to undertake end-to-end manufacturing of grain-oriented electrical steel products within India.
