JSW Energy Signs 25-Year Power Pact with BESCOM for 100 MW Solar Project with Battery Storage.

JSW Energy announced recently that its step-down subsidiary, JSW Renew Energy Forty Five Ltd, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM). The agreement pertains to a grid-connected 100 MW solar power project that will be integrated with a 100 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The PPA is set for a substantial tenure of 25 years, with electricity supplied at a tariff of ₹4.31 per kWh. This strategic move underscores JSW Energy's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supporting India's transition to cleaner power sources.

The company confirmed the signing in a regulatory filing, highlighting the inclusion of the battery energy storage system, which will enhance grid stability and the reliability of renewable power supply.
