Inteva Products to Invest $3.3 Million to Expand Manufacturing Facility in Pune.
Inteva Products LLC, a global leader in automotive systems, announced a $3.3 million investment to expand its manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, to support the rising demand from India’s fast-growing automotive sector. This expansion will boost production capacity and operational efficiency, positioning Inteva to better serve both local and global markets.
The Pune plant’s production area will increase by 70%, reaching a total of 85,000 square feet, along with a new 26,000-square-foot office space. The additional manufacturing space will accommodate new production lines for critical automotive components like window regulators, latches, and motor assemblies. This investment not only strengthens Inteva’s supply chain capabilities in India but also highlights its commitment to the country as a key automotive manufacturing hub.
“This expansion reflects Inteva’s ongoing commitment to the Indian market, which is critical to our global growth strategy,” said Gerard Roose, President and CEO of Inteva Products. “We’re proud to increase our capacity to better serve our customers while creating valuable local employment opportunities.”
Inteva’s Pune facility produces essential components for leading automakers including Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Stellantis, Volkswagen, Hyundai, MG Motors, and Force Motors, and exports window regulator motors to South Africa and North America.
“With this expansion, we’re able to offer customers even more localized, high-quality automotive components,” added Sanjay Kataria, Vice President and Managing Director of Inteva India. "Our investment in advanced manufacturing in Pune underscores our commitment to excellence and innovation in India."
