Indsur Global secures BHEL contract worth Rs. 30 cr

Indsur Global, a member of the Mumbai-based Indsur Group and leading exporter of power infrastructure castings said it has bagged an order worth Rs. 30 crore for supply of castings (metal fittings) from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) against competitive bidding.

The castings will be supplied to BHEL's Bangalore and Sultanpur plants, the company said in a statement.

The Group had recently undertaken to modernise and expand its capacity to manufacture various types of power infrastructure castings at its Halol plant near Vadodara in Gujarat. The first phase of expansion for making power infrastructure castings was commissioned recently. The expanded capacity is almost 12,500 MT per annum that would be further enhanced to 25,000 MT by March 2015.

Indsur Group, through its unit Indsur Global Ltd., supplies castings to insulator manufacturing companies in Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain and other European countries. The Group recently acquired Nevron Eurotherm Insulation, Liverpool, UK. Nevron is a leading provider of thermal engineering services, whose client list includes Unilever and British Gas.
