Incomplete World Bank-aided drinking water project in Bagbera upsets villagers.

An almost three-year long delay in the completion of a World Bank-aided drinking water project in Bagbera has made close to two lakh people, spread across 113 villages on the outskirts of Jamshedpur, upset since they were banking on it for overcoming their daily water woes.

Recently, a delegation of Sampurn Gaghidih Vikas Samiti (SGVS) submitted a memorandum to East Singhbhhum DC Ravi Shankar Shukla, demanding an immediate completion of the project. Shukla assured them that he would look into the matter and ensure resumption of the work soon.
