"IHCL Launches Gateway Brand with Goal of 100 Hotels by 2030"

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has unveiled the reimagined Gateway brand as part of its strategy to capitalize on growth opportunities in micro markets within metro areas and tier II/III cities. The brand rollout commenced with the launch of a new 151-key hotel in Bekal, Kerala, along with the migration of four existing properties in Nashik, Coonoor, Madurai, and Chikmagalur.

The Gateway brand aims to meet the rising domestic demand for quality accommodations with extensive banqueting facilities. In its first phase, the brand will encompass seventeen hotels, with plans to expand to 100 hotels by 2030.

"The post-pandemic era has led to a permanent shift in consumer behavior, where travel has become an integral part of household and individual spending. The relaunch of Gateway taps into this growing trend of consumerism across income groups in both metro and tier I, II, and III cities. It also signifies developers' confidence in the return on capital employed," IHCL stated.

Properties under the Gateway brand will feature spacious rooms, local culinary offerings, including a tea lounge and specialty restaurant, as well as facilities for meetings and celebrations.

IHCL currently operates a portfolio of 334 hotels, including 106 properties under development, spread across five brands in more than 130 locations in India and internationally.
