Hinduja Group is in talks to acquire distressed power projects
ET reported that Hinduja Group is in talks to acquire distressed power projects that are finding it difficult to secure coal linkages and achieve financial closure. The move is part of the group's ambitious plans of adding 10,000MW of power capacity, with investments of $14 billion in the next seven years.
The group receive proposals to buy distressed power units. and the company is seriously evaluating some opportunities and likely to finalize a couple with a capacity of about 1,000 MW.
