Himachal Pradesh clears 26 project proposals worth Rs.762 Crores

Himachal Pradesh's State Level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority has approved six new and 20 industrial proposals, entailing an investment of Rs 762 crore and employment potential for 3,787 people.

Major units approved at the meeting included Rs 188 crore unit of Mahavir Spinning Mills at Baddi generating employment for 778 persons, PME Power Solutions with investment of Rs 40 crore and employment to 70 persons; Alkem Laboratories with investment of Rs 35 crore and employment to 100 people.

The offcials said, 'The response of investors in different industrial ventures in the state was encouraging, in-spite of withdrawal of the Special Industrial Package and said that record industrial expansion had taken place during the earlier regime of 1998-2003 and present term starting from January, 2008 till date.
