"Highways Secretary Reviews Road Projects in Trichy"

R. Selvaraj, Secretary of the State Highways and Minor Ports Department, conducted an inspection of major road projects in Trichy district on Friday. The visit aimed to evaluate the progress and quality of ongoing road widening and bridge projects in Trichy city and Lalgudi.

During his inspection, Selvaraj reviewed a ₹17.2 crore project focused on strengthening and widening a 1.2 km stretch of highway connecting Crawford and E Pudur areas in Trichy. This section is crucial for linking the upcoming Integrated Bus Terminus (IBT) in Panjapur with the Trichy-Madurai National Highway (NH).

The inspection was part of a broader effort to ensure that the infrastructure developments meet quality standards and progress according to schedule.
