HG Infra Engineering Ltd. has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Ltd., for power transmission infrastructure projects in Uttar Pradesh.

In a regulatory filing with the BSE on Tuesday, the company said the LoI covers the construction of a 220/132/33 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) substation at Ranipur in Mau and another 220/132/33 kV AIS substation at Chunar in Mirzapur.

The scope also includes the associated transmission lines for both substations. The projects have been awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The order marks HG Infra Engineering’s expansion into power transmission infrastructure and adds to its portfolio of projects across the infrastructure sector.
