Healthcare Major Aster-QCIL to Invest ₹1,661 Crore, Scale Up Kerala Facilities.

Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL) have announced plans to invest ₹1,661 crore in Kerala to significantly expand healthcare infrastructure, adding 1,315 hospital beds across the state in the coming years.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan, Aster DM Healthcare Chairman Azad Moopen said the group will independently add 834 beds in Kerala as part of the expansion plan. This includes a new 454-bed hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, which is expected to strengthen access to advanced healthcare services in southern Kerala.

With the planned expansion, the combined network of Aster and QCIL will grow to 11 hospitals in Kerala, taking total capacity to 4,575 beds. The companies said the move will help build one of India’s strongest regional healthcare networks and improve access to tertiary and quaternary care services in the state.
