HCL Tech plans to develop 100-acre IT city in Lucknow.

HCL Technologies Ltd. plans to develop a 100 acre information technology (IT) city in Lucknow, the company said.

The Uttar Pradesh government has awarded the project to Vamasundari Investments Pvt. Ltd., the investment arm of HCL, the company said in a statement.

It will include 60 acres of space for IT and the IT-enabled services (ITeS) industry, including a skill development center with a capacity to train more than 5,000 people. The rest of the area will be for support infrastructure and social impact initiatives.
