Haryana power: Centre approves 34 project reports worth Rs. 1320 crore.

As part of the Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme, the Centre has approved 34 Detailed Project Reports worth Rs. 1320 crore, including Rs. 931 crore for towns in the area of the UHBVN and Rs. 389 crore for the towns in the area of the DHBVN.

A spokesman of the two Haryana power utilities said here today the power distribution system in 36 towns in Haryana, each having population of more than 30,000, will be renovated and strengthened under the RAPDRP (Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme).

The 36 towns include Hisar, Dabwali, Narnaul, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Hansi, Hodal, Palwal, Barwala, Rewari, Ellenabad, Sirsa, Tohana, Fatehabad, Faridabad and Gurgaon in the area of the DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam).

The towns include Ambala Cantt, Ambala City, Panchkula, Kalka, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh, Kaithal, Jind, Rohtak, Panipat and Karnal in the area of the UHBVN (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam).
