Gulshan Polyols Limited Secures Approval for Ethanol Plant in Goalpara, Assam

Gulshan Polyols Limited has received "Consent to Operate" (CTO) for its new grain-based ethanol plant in Goalpara, Assam. This approval, granted by the Pollution Control Board of Assam, is issued under Section 25 of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and Section 21 of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

The Assam Pollution Control Board has given its approval with a validity extending until March 31, 2025. This is contingent on Gulshan Polyols fulfilling the terms and conditions outlined in the consent order, which are designed to ensure compliance with environmental standards and safety regulations during the operation of the 250 KLPD (kilo-liters per day) ethanol production facility.

This consent allows Gulshan Polyols to proceed with its ethanol project in District Goalpara, Assam, marking a significant step forward in the company's expansion plans and its commitment to sustainable practices in industrial operations. The plant is expected to contribute to the region's economic growth while adhering to environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
