Gujarat Government Designates Land for ₹3,000-Cr Coca-Cola Facility in Sanand

In a significant development, The Coca-Cola Company, a renowned US-based multinational corporation, has secured land near Ahmedabad for the establishment of a ₹3,000 crore manufacturing unit dedicated to concentrates, according to state government officials recently.

Rahul Gupta, the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), a state government entity, disclosed, “The company has been allotted land in Sanand GIDC-II at Bol last month. The company will be investing ₹3,000 crore in the project.” The allocated land spans approximately 1.6 lakh square meters for the proposed unit.

Gupta further explained that the upcoming facility in Sanand will serve as a manufacturing plant, specifically producing concentrates, which constitute a crucial component in the production of Coca-Cola beverages.

This venture follows the allocation of land to the company's bottling partner, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, which already operates beverage bottling plants in Goblej, Kheda district, and Sanand, Ahmedabad district. The new Coca-Cola unit is anticipated to contribute significantly to the region's industrial landscape and economic growth.
