Greenco Group plans to set up 220 Mw wind power plant in Maharashtra
Hyderabad: Greenko Group plans to set up a 200 MW wind power generation facility in the Satara district of Maharashtra.
Of this, 65 MW will be operational by June 2011.
The company has tied up with GE for supply of low wind speed equipment for the wind power project and has entered into a power sale agreement with Reliance Infrastructure for projects now under development.
The funding for the project and few others has already been tied up.
The company plans to deploy the first 65 MW and simultaneously work on other projects. The company has increased the implementation portfolio from 611 MW to 811 MW with the addition coming from new wind energy assets.
The company currently has an installed capacity of 183 MW.
