Government Approves Seven Electronics Manufacturing Projects Worth ₹5,532 Crore.

The government has approved seven projects totaling ₹5,532 crore under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme, Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced recently.

Out of 249 proposals received, the approved projects include manufacturing units for printed circuit boards, camera modules, copper laminates, and polypropylene films used in capacitors for consumer electronics.

Electronics and IT Secretary S Krishnan said the cleared proposals are expected to create around 5,195 jobs, supporting the government’s push to expand domestic electronics manufacturing and reduce import dependence.
