Four projects get UTTIPEC nod.
A small stretch near Guru Ravidass Marg known as EPDP Road will see streetscape work being done as soon as it gets a final nod from Lieutanant-Governor Najeeb Jung.
At a working group meeting of the Unified Traffic Transportation Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Centre (UTTIPEC) here recently, four projects including the work for streetscaping was approved and will now be forwarded to the governing body.
Footpaths, central verges and traffic islands are part of the project to beauty the small stretch in South Delhi.
Further, one of the project involves development of a corridor of Mehrauli-Mahipalpur Road from Andheria Mor to Aruna Asaf Ali Marg. The other two projects are those which have already been in the pipeline -- constructing a parallel flyover on Outer Ring Road at the RTR junction and an underpass at Benito Juarez Marg and another underpass at the RTR Marg-Ring Road junction.
The project envisages extending the existing Munirka flyover by a kilometre to beyond the RTR flyover on National Highway-8 side and construction of an underpass at the intersection of Benito Juarez Marg with Ring Road, which would allow vehicles coming from the airport side to take the road for reaching Ring Road.
The meeting was headed by Public Works Department secretary Arun Baroka.
