FM Inaugurates Agri Processing Centre in Koppal.

Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the Farmers’ Training and Common Facility Centre for Agro Processing (FT-CFC) at Methagal village in Koppal district recently. During the event, she also flagged off the first consignment of dry ginger powder from the centre.

The FT-CFC is a pioneering initiative in the seven districts of the Kalyana Karnataka region, aimed at promoting value addition, reducing post-harvest losses, and generating sustainable income for farmers.

Funded through the Minister’s MPLAD scheme in collaboration with the Government of India and NABARD, the project highlights the government’s strong commitment to inclusive, technology-driven, and sustainable rural development.
