First metro train arrives at Uppal depot.

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited has announced the arrival of the first metro train for Hyderabad Metro Rail Project to the Uppal Depot here recently. The rolling stock was received by S. N. Subrahmanyam, whole-time Director & Senior Vice-President of Larsen & Toubro, and later, he also reviewed the project and emphasised on the completion of the project within the scheduled time, cost and quality.

'It is a proud moment for all citizens and it is the beginning of a new era in the transportation history of Hyderabad,' said Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy. 'It a significant milestone for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and an indication that we are ahead of time in bringing the trains,' said L&T Metro Rail Chief Executive and Managing Director V.B. Gadgil.
