"Epigral Boosts CPVC Resin Production Capacity in Dahej Expansion"

Epigral Ltd, a prominent player in the chemical industry, has proudly announced the successful inauguration of an additional 45,000 TPA (Tonnes Per Annum) capacity CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) resin plant at its Dahej facility in Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in their expansion efforts.

The company's latest endeavor brings Epigral's total CPVC resin capacity to an impressive 75,000 TPA, solidifying its position as the largest CPVC resin facility worldwide at a single location, as affirmed by an official press release. Moreover, this expansion signifies Epigral's foray into CPVC compound production, with plans to achieve a projected capacity of 35,000 TPA. The compound production project is currently underway and anticipated to be operational by the first quarter of the financial year 2025.

CPVC resin and compound serve as vital components in the manufacturing of CPVC pipes and fittings, renowned for their exceptional heat and chemical resistance properties, rendering them suitable for various domestic and industrial applications. India's CPVC demand stands at approximately 250,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) and is steadily growing, with an expected annual growth rate ranging between 10% and 13%.

Maulik Patel, the Chairman and Managing Director of Epigral, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I am delighted to announce the successful commissioning of our 45,000 TPA CPVC Resin plant, elevating our total capacity to 75,000 TPA and establishing it as the world's largest single-location CPVC resin facility. He further elaborated, "With the commissioning of the CPVC resin plant, we are progressing towards our objective of becoming a multi-product company, poised to enhance revenue contribution from the Derivatives & Speciality Chemical segment. Additionally, this milestone underscores the robustness of our fully integrated complex, as Chlorine, a key raw material for CPVC resin, will be readily available within the plant itself."
