"DeVANS Commences Production in UP, Expands Capacity by 2 Million Cases"

DeVANS Modern Breweries, a prominent malt spirits manufacturer known for brands such as Godfather, Six Fields, and Kotsberg, has recently entered into a strategic production tie-up with Vairagi Brewery in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki region. This collaboration marks a significant boost to DeVANS' production capacity, allowing them to manufacture an additional 24,000 kiloliters, which translates to an impressive two million cases annually.

DeVANS already possesses two breweries, one in Rajasthan and another in Jammu. In addition to these facilities, the company has been actively producing its beer brands in Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand through production tie-ups established in these states since the previous year.

The decision to partner with Vairagi Brewery in Uttar Pradesh stems from the recognition of the state's substantial beer market potential. Due to capacity constraints, DeVANS had been facing challenges in fully meeting the market demand. This new production collaboration is expected to substantially aid in satisfying the beer requirements of the state while simultaneously helping DeVANS avoid the additional expenses associated with import duties and freight.

Prem Dewan, Chairman and Managing Director of DeVANS Modern Breweries Ltd., expressed his optimism about the development, stating, "Uttar Pradesh is a huge beer market, and DeVANS was finding it increasingly difficult to feed the market to its full potential due to capacity constraints. The Vairagi production tie-up would go a long way in helping us meet the demand for our beers in the state. It would also help us to avoid the additional costs of import duties and freight and to also enhance our overall production capacity to 1,80,600 KL."

This strategic production expansion represents a significant milestone for DeVANS Modern Breweries, allowing them to tap into the burgeoning beer market in Uttar Pradesh and further strengthen their presence in the Indian brewing industry.
