Desco Infratech Ltd recently said it has completed and commissioned a major city gas distribution project for Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) in Faridabad, Haryana, strengthening its presence in India's expanding natural gas infrastructure sector.
The project involved laying more than 100 kilometres of Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) pipeline network and providing over 6,500 domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections.
In a statement, the city gas distribution infrastructure provider said the project was executed in accordance with prescribed technical specifications, quality standards and scheduled timelines.
Desco Infratech said the successful completion of the contract reinforces its portfolio in the city gas distribution segment while supporting the government's objective of increasing the share of natural gas in India's energy mix.
The company also noted that ongoing geopolitical developments in West Asia have disrupted global supply chains, logistics and energy markets, highlighting the strategic importance of building resilient domestic gas infrastructure. Despite these challenges, the project was completed while adhering to quality assurance and safety standards.
"Executing more than 100 kilometres of MDPE pipeline network together with over 6,500 domestic PNG installations demonstrates our technical competence, disciplined execution capabilities, and unwavering commitment to quality and safety," said Malhar Desai, Whole-time Director of Desco Infratech Ltd.
Desai added that the project assumes greater significance amid volatility in global energy markets, reaffirming the company's commitment to delivering engineering solutions that support India's clean energy transition and energy security.
