DDA to offer ultra-modern flats, housing for senior citizens.
After launching its biggest ever housing scheme in 2014, the Delhi Development of Authority (DDA) is now getting ready to offer a whopping 40,000 flats of ultra-modern design in Delhi in December 2016. This besides offering comfortable housing for senior citizens through a first-of-its kind scheme in the country.
However, the land agency has clearly ruled out any housing scheme this year. DDA Vice-Chairman Balvinder Kumar recently said some 53,752 flats are being developed by the agency.
'The DDA is developing over 52,000 flats. Of these 46,952 flats are under construction while 24,260 are at the planning stage. We are hopeful that 40,000 flats would be ready for our next housing scheme by December 2016,' said Mr Kumar.
