Danieli awarded two contracts in Egypt worth USD 585 million

Italy based plantmaker Danieli, a world leader in the field of constructing metallurgical plants, has been awarded two contracts in Egypt. The first contract worth EUR 50 million pertains to the supply of a state of the art smelting and rolling plant to be constructed in Beni Suef.

Meanwhile the second contract with a value of EUR 20 million concerns the revamping of an already existing steel plant based in Alexandria.

The Beni Suef based steel mill will have an annual production capacity of 500,000 tonnes mainly aimed at satisfying domestic market demand. With its state of the art technology the whole process from smelting to rolling will last only two hours.
