DAF technology for water treatment in Thiruvananthapuram.

With the government giving its nod to the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) to source drinking water from downstream of the Neyyar, the water utility has set in motion the process to construct a 115 million litres a day (mld) capacity water treatment plant, using Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) technology. Of this, 100 mld would be supplied to the city and 5 mld each to Maranalloor, Malayinkeezhu, and Vilappil-Vilavoorkal areas.
