Hyperscale data centre operator CtrlS Datacenters has raised ₹250 crore from Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga, as the company looks to expand its infrastructure and capacity to meet rising demand for digital services in India.
Kamath has invested ₹200 crore, while Vanga has contributed ₹50 crore to the company.
The fresh capital will support CtrlS’s infrastructure expansion and capacity build-out as demand from enterprises and hyperscalers grows, driven by the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other digital workloads.
Founded by Sridhar Pinnapureddy in 2007, CtrlS operates 19 data centres across nine key markets in India, with more than 370 MW of capacity. The company also has around 4.4 GW of projects at various stages of execution.
CtrlS is developing AI-ready and hyperscale infrastructure to cater to India’s expanding digital economy. The company is also focusing on renewable energy adoption and sustainable data centre practices as it scales its operations.
