Contractors told to begin Kaleshwaram works in Oct.

The government has given directions to the contractor-agencies of Kaleshwaram project to make preparations for taking up works from October and complete them in 18 months time. In a meeting with officials and the agencies held here on Tuesday, Minister T. Harish Rao said agreements with agencies would be completed in five days. He told the officials to speed up land acquisition and also to finalise the designs at the earliest.

An action plan-cum-work schedule for the project works including the barrages at Medigadda, Sundilla and Annaram was finalised in consultation with the agencies and officials.
