Cognizant to expand footprint in Maharashtra, seeks land near Pune.

IT giant Cognizant is considering further expanding its footprint in Maharashtra.

According to a press statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office, the President of the company, Gordon Coburn, met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Davos, Switzerland, and sought additional land for the company's expansion programme at Hinjewadi near Pune.

The State Government would soon hand over the Letter of Intent for the land, the statement said.
