"Coca-Cola Bottler SLMG Beverages Establishes New Plant in Amethi"
SLMG Beverages, a Coca-Cola bottler, has unveiled a state-of-the-art facility in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, representing a substantial investment of ₹700 crore. The newly established Trishundi bottling plant is set to play a pivotal role in meeting the escalating demand for Coca-Cola products in regions spanning Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. It stands as a fully automated bottling plant equipped with six production lines, including one dedicated to manufacturing Affordable Small Sparkling Packs (ASSP) tailored specifically for the Indian market, according to a statement issued by the bottler.
N Ladhani, Chairman and Managing Director of SLMG Beverages, remarked, "When Coca-Cola re-entered the Indian market 30 years ago, we produced the first Coca-Cola bottle in India and are proud to continue the Coca-Cola company's legacy and expand our reach to consumers across the region."
SLMG Beverages currently operates seven plants distributed across Uttar Pradesh, with a production capacity exceeding 4 crore bottles daily.
Sundeep Bajoria, Vice President of India Franchise at Coca-Cola India, reaffirmed the company's belief in the growth potential of the Indian market, which is Coca-Cola's fifth-largest market globally and offers a compelling landscape for the beverage industry. Bajoria highlighted the significance of the new SLMG facility in Trishundi, emphasizing Coca-Cola's commitment to sustainable, long-term business growth and its contribution to the national economy.
He added, "The investments made by SLMG are a significant step towards laying the groundwork for our capacity expansion goals and our leading portfolio of brands, positioning us for success in the marketplace." This strategic move underscores the continued investment and commitment of the Coca-Cola system to the thriving Indian beverage market.
