Cidco puts Navi Mumbai airport project on fast lane.
The City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) fast-tracked the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) project recently by laying the foundation stone for the development of Pushpak Nagar (Dapoli). The complex is set to be a modern hub with roads, streetlights and infrastructure works.
The developed plots will be allocated to villagers whose land needs to be acquired for the airport project.
'In all probability, we will complete the measurement of land and begin construction in three months. The metro will pass through the area providing connectivity to a world-class city. The developed plots would be handed over in January-February, 2015,' said Sanjay Bhatia, Cidco MD.
The last date for submission of bids for RFQ to choose a strategic partner for developing the airport was extended to July 30.
