Centre clears two industrial projects for H.P.

The Central Government has cleared two industrial area development projects for Himachal Pradesh involving an investment of Rs, 112 crore. The projects, Pandoga in Una district and Kandrori in Kangra district were announced by the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in his budget speech and the government had been vigorously pursuing the matter with the Centre, Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said.

Work to begin soon

He said that the work for developing infrastructure for these projects would be started soon and it would go a long way in further strengthening the industrial growth in the State besides providing employment to the youth.

Effective measures

He said that the State had taken effective measures to expand the industrial areas and in this direction, industrial meets were held in three major metropolitan cities in the country which were yielding better results as proposals worth crores had been received by the State Government which soon would be cleared in single window meeting.
