Calicut Development Authority to present projects worth Rs. 2k-cr in meet.
The Calicut Development Authority will present its 10 projects in 'Partner Kerala' meet to be held in Kochi on February 24 and 25.
The projects worth Rs. 2,879.4 crore will be presented to find suitable investors to carry out key infrastructure developments in the Kozhikode City.
One of the major projects to be presented in the meet will be the redevelopment of the Palayam Junction. The Rs. 865.60 crore project envisages acquiring land on the four sides of the Palayam Junction through land pooling and developing it in four phases.
Another project of the CDA will be development of Valiyangadi of the oldest commercial hub in the city through the Public Private participation (PPP) model.
The proposal planned at a cost of Rs. 750 crore envisages setting up shopping malls, commercial office, residential and commercial areas, roads and godowns retaining the heritage structure of the area.
The other projects to be presented at the investors meet include development of 1,000 cents at Mananchira with an estimated cost of Rs. 280 crore; Rs. 330 crore S M Street development project; Rs. 17.3 crore widening of Kallai road stretch; Rs. 3 crore project to construct Beypore warehouse; Rs. 28.7 crore proposal for the transformation of Eravathukunnu as one of the major tourism destination; Rs. 500 crore multi-purpose sports complex cum convention centre with permanent exhibition centre; Rs. 14. 8 crore project to set up studio apartment for working women and hostel and Rs 90 crore worth Parking Plaza at the South Beach.
CDA secretary, A M Jayan said the CDA has already received confirmation from the state about the selection of 10 projects to be presented in the 'Partner Kerala' meet.
'A team will participate in the investors meet to discuss about the proposals in detail,'' he said.
