Cabinet nod sought for Polavaram LMC.

The Telugu Desam Government should take steps to fulfil the recent commitment to complete the lift project on Godavari Left Main Canal made by Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and not allow it to remain another political rhetoric, Forum for Development of North Andhra said .

In a statement issued here, forum chairman and former Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University K.V. Ramana and general secretary A Aja Sarma demanded that the State Cabinet clear the proposal for the lift project at Purushottamapattam to stabilise drinking water supply to Visakhapatnam City. Further, the government should allocate funds for completing the project, they said.
