"Cabinet Greenlights Two Corridors for Delhi Metro Phase-IV Projects"

Union Minister Anurag Thakur announced on Wednesday that the Union Cabinet has given its nod to two additional corridors as part of the Delhi Metro's Phase-IV project. These corridors are set to connect Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block and Inderlok to Indraprastha.

The total estimated project cost for these two corridors amounts to ₹8,399 crore. Funding for the project will be sourced from both the Union and Delhi governments, as well as international funding agencies. Combined, these corridors will span a length of 20.762 kilometers.

The Inderlok to Indraprastha corridor will serve as an extension of the Green Line, offering interchange connectivity with the Red, Yellow, Airport Line, Magenta, Violet, and Blue Lines. Meanwhile, the Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block corridor will establish connections with the Silver, Magenta, Pink, and Violet Lines.
