BSNL to Erect 4,000 New Mobile Towers in Chhattisgarh's Naxal-Hit Regions.

State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is set to significantly boost digital communication in Chhattisgarh's Naxalite-affected and remote regions with plans to install 4,000 new mobile towers. This initiative was announced on Sunday by Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Union Minister of State for Telecom and Rural Development.

The Minister shared this crucial information during his three-day visit to Chhattisgarh, where he is reviewing various central government schemes and projects, including the Aspirational District Programme, under the purview of the telecom and rural development ministries.

"The central government is working on a plan to install 4,000 new BSNL towers in the Naxalite-affected and remote areas of Chhattisgarh to strengthen digital communication," stated a press release from the Ministry. This move aims to enhance connectivity, which is vital for socio-economic development and security in these challenging regions.
