Blue Dart Launches New Integrated Logistics Hub in Delhi to Enhance Connectivity.

Blue Dart, a leading express services operator, unveiled its new integrated logistics hub in Bijwasan, Delhi, recently, aimed at boosting air and ground connectivity across the northern region.

Strategically located along the Dwarka Expressway, just 20 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport, the facility offers direct access to key transportation networks, including the IGI Airport, Indian Railways, metro corridors, and major highways. It seamlessly integrates with the upcoming Gati Shakti Logistics Corridor, a key initiative for enhancing logistics efficiency in India.

Spanning 2.5 lakh square feet, the facility supports the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan by strengthening freight movement and improving multimodal connectivity.

Tobias Meyer, CEO of DHL Group, emphasized the importance of sustainability in logistics, stating, "Supporting our customers’ decarbonisation journey is crucial, and this facility reflects our commitment to efficient, low-carbon logistics." The hub includes solar power installations with a 600-kW capacity to reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable energy practices.

With the ability to handle over 5.5 lakh shipments per day, the facility is fully equipped for palletized cargo handling and features an automated system for precise and rapid sorting, minimizing manual handling and optimizing resource use.

Blue Dart Managing Director Balfour Manuel described the Bijwasan facility as a significant investment in infrastructure, scalability, and sustainability, reinforcing the company’s promise to provide efficient and environmentally conscious logistics solutions. The new hub marks a major milestone in Blue Dart’s continued expansion and support for India’s growing economic potential.
