Bharat Electronics Ltd Secures Orders Worth Rs. 847 Crores

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has inked a contract with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, on January 30, 2024. The contract, valued at Rs. 665.84 crores plus taxes, was secured through an open bidding process. The agreement focuses on the implementation and management of IT infrastructure, covering the supply, installation, and maintenance of IT and networking infrastructure, along with field IT support and centralized management and monitoring. The maintenance support is extended for a period of 5 years, inclusive of the implementation period. This significant project marks one of the largest civilian projects acquired competitively by BEL during the current financial year.

In addition to the IT infrastructure management contract, BEL has received additional orders amounting to Rs. 182 crores for miscellaneous spares and services since the last disclosure on January 17, 2024.

With these developments, BEL has amassed cumulative orders totaling Rs. 28,494 crores in the current financial year, reflecting the company's strong performance in securing significant projects and contracts.
