Bengaluru Welcomes Thales' Latest IFE&S Innovation Hub, Opened by M.B. Patil.

Karnataka's position as a global hub for high-tech engineering was further cemented today with the inauguration of a cutting-edge In-Flight Entertainment & Services (IFE&S) Lab at French aerospace and defence giant Thales' Engineering Competence Centre in Bengaluru. The new facility was officially opened by M.B. Patil, Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries & Infrastructure Development.

The newly launched lab is poised to become a central hub for advanced research, rigorous testing, and innovative development in the realm of in-flight entertainment technologies. This investment underscores Thales' commitment to pushing the boundaries of aerospace innovation from its base in India.

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Patil lauded Thales' consistent contributions to the state's vibrant innovation ecosystem. "Thales has consistently invested in Karnataka’s innovation ecosystem, collaborating with local industry, premier academic institutions, and the broader defence and aerospace community," Patil stated. He emphasized how Thales' sustained efforts have seamlessly integrated Karnataka into its global innovation network, while simultaneously fostering the skilled workforce crucial for the state's ambitious aerospace and defence aspirations.

Patil concluded by affirming that the establishment of this new center serves as a clear testament to Karnataka’s burgeoning status as a global leader in high-tech engineering.
