Bangalore Metro Green Line run from June 1.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) is likely to launch commercial operation of its Green Line (connecting JP Nagar to Nagasandra) by June 1.

Union Minster of Urban Development and Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation M Venkaiah Naidu said after a review meeting that work at Chikpet underground station is likely to be completed by May 10.

“Once all civil works are done, BMRCL is likely to face tests by its independent safety assessor (ISA) on May 12. Later the corporation is to approach the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) an inspection,” he added.

Naidu also held review and progress made under smart cities mission and released ₹107 crore under the smart cities mission.
