AstraZeneca India to Establish Genomics Hub in Amaravati.

AstraZeneca India will establish an Integrated Genomic Solutions Centre in Amaravati under a partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government aimed at advancing precision oncology and improving cancer care through genomic medicine.

The state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AstraZeneca India for the proposed centre, which is expected to support the development of advanced genomic capabilities for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

According to the government, the initiative seeks to introduce India's first Integrated Precision Oncology programme, enabling personalized cancer diagnosis and treatment through cutting-edge genetic research.

The proposed centre is expected to strengthen the state's healthcare and life sciences ecosystem while promoting the adoption of precision medicine to improve clinical outcomes for cancer patients.
