Andhra Pradesh to Build 6,740-Acre Industrial Hub in Kopparthy.
The Andhra Pradesh government is moving forward with a major industrial project, finalizing the master plan for the development of a new industrial node at Kopparthy in the Kadapa district. The hub, part of the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC), will span approximately 6,740 acres.
The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has officially notified the final master plan for the development. According to the plan, 53% of the total land has been earmarked for industrial use.
The upcoming node will be categorized to accommodate four types of industries. Of these, 59 are listed under the "red category," which includes a wide range of sectors such as chemicals, automobiles, mini power stations, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and sugar.
