Andhra Govt Approves ₹2,723 Crore for Roadworks in Amaravati.

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved road infrastructure works worth ₹2,723 crore for the development of Amaravati, the state’s greenfield capital. Municipal Minister P Narayana announced on Monday that the funds would be used for constructing layout roads in Amaravati’s zones 7 and 10.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, Narayana shared that a total of ₹47,288 crore in funds has already been approved for Amaravati’s development through meetings of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).

The Minister further stated that approval for the remaining works is expected to be granted within the month. He also reassured the public that the state government would not pass the cost of building the capital city onto the citizens. The loans taken for the project will be repaid through the sale of land pooled from farmers for the development of Amaravati, Narayana added.
