AIIMS Bilaspur to Establish 300-Bed Trauma Centre.

AIIMS Bilaspur to Establish 300-Bed Trauma Centre.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur is set to establish a 300-bed trauma center to address the growing number of patients, officials announced recently.

AIIMS Bilaspur Registrar Rakesh Kumar confirmed that the Central government has approved the expansion of medical services at the facility. "A 300-bed trauma center will be constructed here as part of these efforts. Necessary formalities are underway," he said.

Currently, the emergency ward at AIIMS Bilaspur has only 55 beds, and around 70 patients from the region are referred to the facility daily. The new trauma center aims to improve emergency care access and reduce the need for patient transfers.
