"Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Station's Concourse Level Successfully Completed"

The construction of the Ahmedabad High-Speed Railway station, the second stop on the bullet train route to Mumbai from Sabarmati, has reached a notable milestone with the completion of its concourse level. This station also serves as a vital link connecting the Indian Railways and Metro station networks.

The concourse level, spanning an impressive 435 meters in length and covering a total area of 13,376 square meters, has been successfully finalized. Its dimensions measure 435 meters by 30.75 meters.

Officials from the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) disclosed that the construction required 11,492 cubic meters of concrete and 3,863.9 metric tonnes of steel reinforcement.

The design of the Ahmedabad station draws inspiration from the city's rich cultural and historical heritage. The station's roof serves as a canvas, adorned with an array of kites, while the facade is adorned with a pattern inspired by the intricate lattice work of the iconic Syed Siddique's Jaali.

Spanning an area of approximately 38,000 square meters, the station is set to be constructed above the existing western railway station, specifically over platforms 10, 11, and 12. The station is designed to feature two platforms and will be situated at a height of 33.73 meters above ground level.

In a bid to ensure the seamless integration of the High-Speed Rail (HSR) station with other transportation modes, an integrated passenger transit building will be established on the eastern side of the existing railway station. This facility will enable passengers to conveniently switch between different modes of transport using escalators and elevators.

The integrated building will also facilitate connections to the Ahmedabad railway station, providing access to Western Railway Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) for passengers arriving from platforms 1 to 9. On the other side, it will connect to the underground Kalupur metro station in the direction of Saraspur.

The HSR station's strategic location will offer travelers easy access to Ahmedabad airport, situated approximately 10 kilometers away, as well as the nearby Geeta Mandir Central Bus Stand, located at a distance of 3.5 kilometers.
